Yoga For Menopause Teacher Training
The Four Pillars of Health
Supporting Brain, Bone, Muscle & Heart Health Through Yoga
As yoga teachers, our classes are filled with women navigating perimenopause and postmenopause, yet many of us feel uncertain about how best to support them.
The good news? You don’t need to become a menopause specialist.
What you do need is an understanding of the four key areas of health affected by declining oestrogen, progesterone and testosterone: the brain, bones, muscles and heart.
This evidence-informed training will give you the confidence, knowledge and practical tools to create safe, effective and empowering classes for women in their menopause years.
Saturday 5 September 2026, 9am-1.15pm
Light Centre, Monument, London
£115 (single workshop)
Included with your booking:
- Lifetime access to the online course
- Pre-recorded science modules covering each of the Four Pillars
- In-person practical training
- Course notes and resources
The online modules allow you to build your understanding of the physiological changes that occur during menopause before the workshop, so that our time together can focus on practical teaching skills and application.
About the Workshop
While every woman’s experience of menopause is unique, all women experience declining sex hormones. Understanding how these hormonal changes affect the brain, bones, muscles and heart is key to creating safe, effective and menopause-informed yoga classes. Move beyond a symptom-focused approach to menopause and learn how to support whole-person health through the Four Pillars
Through a blend of pre-course science modules and an in-person practical workshop, you’ll explore how yoga, strength-building practices, breathwork, mindfulness and meditation can support these Four Pillars of health, helping your students thrive through menopause and beyond.
What You’ll Learn
The training is structured around The Four Pillars Framework:
The Four Pillars Framework
Brain
Maintain and support cognitive function, mood, memory and overall brain health.
Bone
Support bone density, stability and long-term skeletal health.
Muscle
Build strength, function, resilience and healthy movement patterns.
Heart
Support cardiovascular health and understand the impact of menopause on heart health.
By the end of the training you will:
- Understand the key health considerations within each of the Four Pillars
- Understand WHY different yoga practices can best support brain, bone, muscle and heart health.
- Learn how to sequence classes with the Four Pillars in mind
- Learn how to adapt practices appropriately and safely
- Gain practical ideas for creating menopause-informed classes and workshops
- Feel confident answering common student questions and discussing menopause within your scope of practice
- Leave with practical tools you can immediately apply in your teaching
You do not need to reinvent your teaching, however, understanding the Four Pillars and why they are important, is key to supporting your students safely and building trust within your classes.
If you have a keen interest in this area and are looking for a concise, practical and science-backed training, this course will give you a strong foundation from which to teach with confidence and support your students through menopause and beyond.
