Menopause-Informed Yoga Teacher Training

Half Day Practical Training for Yoga Teachers
Built around Lindsey's Four Pillars Framework for Menopause-Informed Yoga Teaching
Supporting Brain, Bone, Muscle & Heart Health Through Yoga

Saturday 5 September 2026

9am-1.15pm

Light Centre, Monument, London

£115 (single workshop)

Most yoga teacher trainings do not touch on menopause, despite many women in yoga classes navigating this significant life transition. This can leave yoga teachers feeling uncertain about how best to support them.

The good news? You don’t need to become a menopause specialist.

What yoga teachers do need is an understanding of the four pillars of health affected by declining oestrogen, progesterone and testosterone: brain, bone, muscle and heart.

This science-backed training blends pre-course science modules and an in-person practical workshop. Alongside practical yoga tools and an understanding of nervous system regulation, you’ll leave with the confidence to adapt your teaching safely, compassionately and with knowledge of why those adaptations matter.

More than symptom management

Symptoms are variable woman to woman, but all women experience declining sex hormones which can impact the Four Pillars.

Understanding how hormonal changes influence each of these pillars enables you to make informed evidence-based choices that better support the women in your classes, helping you teach with greater confidence while remaining safely within your scope of practice.

Nervous system regulation is woven throughout the training. Understanding how stress physiology influences cognitive function, cardiovascular health, bone health, muscle recovery and overall wellbeing is crucial during the menopausal transition.

Before

  • Unsure how to create menopause-informed classes and why you need to

  • Concerned about giving the wrong advice

  • Limited understanding of the physiological impact of menopause

  • Basic knowledge on nervous system regulation

After

  • Confident adapting yoga practices within the Four Pillars framework

  • Teaching from knowledge rather than guesswork
  • Able to support women safely and with confidence
  • Better understanding of the physiology, and the key health considerations within each of the Four Pillars

  • Understanding the importance of nervous system support and why this helps the Four Pillars of Health

Included with your booking:

  • Lifetime access to the online course
  • Pre-recorded science modules covering each of the Four Pillars
  • In-person practical training
  • Course notes and resources

The online modules allow you to build your understanding of the physiological changes that occur during menopause before the workshop, so that our time together can focus on practical teaching skills and application.

This course will give you a strong foundation from which to teach with confidence and support your students through menopause, with:

  • A practical Four Pillars framework that makes complex physiology easy to understand and apply.
  • Evidence-informed and yoga-specific, combining current research with practical teaching strategies rather than generic menopause advice.
  • Immediately applicable, so you’ll leave with ideas, adaptations and language you can confidently use in your very next class.

There are two trainings on Saturday 5 September 2026 for yoga teachers. Scroll down for the Adjustment Workshop.

Book both for £200 and save £30. Please click ‘Enquire’ to check availability for both workshops and we will email separate booking info.

Adjustments Workshop for Yoga Teachers

Many yoga teachers learn a handful of adjustments but are never taught how to decide whether an adjustment is actually needed, what they are trying to achieve, or when a verbal cue might work better.

This practical workshop explores the thinking behind hands-on adjustments as well as the techniques themselves, helping you move beyond memorised assists and make clearer decisions in real time.

Led by senior yoga teacher, teacher trainer and former YogaLondon course leader Sandra Paternostro.

You’ll explore:

  • Observation skills and what to look for before adjusting
  • When and why to use touch, verbal cues or props
  • Different types of adjustments and what they are trying to achieve
  • Positioning, communication and teacher confidence
  • Practical partner work and real teaching scenarios
Also included: lifetime access to the online companion course, so you can cover the theory before the workshop and spend more of the in-person session practising.
